ANTHONY HAWTHORNE, Senior Loan Officer

Anthony Hawthorne joined CIC as a Loan Officer in April 1999. He has more than 20 years of banking experience and more than seven years of community banking and lending experience. In addition to regular lending at CIC, Anthony also administers CIC's TIF/NIP matching rehab grant for buildings in Chicago's Woodlawn and Bronzeville communities and the Empowerment Zone Interest Rate Subsidy Program, which provides an interest rate buy down of up to 3% to rehab buildings in Chicago's Empowerment Zone areas.

Anthony is a lifelong resident of the Chicagoland area, with a particular interest in the Southeast Side of the city and west corridor. His family still resides in and around the Woodlawn community after more than 30 years. On any given weekend or weekday evening, it would not be uncommon to see Anthony at any of the mainstay South Side establishments, not only doing business but supporting the community as well.

Anthony received a degree in Criminal Justice/Management from Chicago State University.
